Raising A Great Brand

Building a brand is a lot like raising a child.  It takes time, extreme patience, and a lot of work. It doesn’t happen over night (most of the time) and you will constantly be going through all sorts of changes.  We put together a list of some of the qualities that great brands are made of so you can push yours in the right direction as it “grows up”.

Your brand should be “popular”. Brand awareness is key in developing every other aspect.  If no one knows who you are it doesn’t really matter what you are doing.  Especially in the early stages of life focus your marketing efforts on raising awareness so everyone is interested in you and everything you do.

Your brand should stand for something. People need to be able to relate your brand to their own goals, hopes, and desires.  This is extremely important when it comes to developing brand loyalty.

Your brand should be different. If your brand is just another face in the crowd it will be easier to forget about.  If you aren’t different and memorable it won’t matter how many people hear about you because they won’t remember.

Your brand should be nice. You should make your brand in to the customers best friend.  Use every tool possible to build positive and meaningful relationships.  Offer something extra to the customers who take the time to build those relationships.  Being nice is sometimes all it takes to build your brand in every direction.

Raise your brand to be popular, different, nice, and to stand for something and you will be proud.  If you need help developing or marketing your brand let the Timmons & Company SWAT team help.
