Twitter plans to roll out ad-based business model for small businesses. Twitter users have observed a growing trend of ads on the popular social networking site. Twitter CEO Dick Costolo disclosed to The New York Times that by the beginning of next year, the company would provide a self-service interface for local small businesses to buy twitter ads.
Twitter has its own mobile apps on most major platforms, thus providing a greater exposure for location based ads. It also supports additional formats such as “Promoted Accounts” that make perfect sense when it comes to serving a local business. Click here for a detailed read.
