Social Media Influence is a much hyped about topic in current times. What do you understand by ‘influence’ and what are the metrics for its measurement? A common notion suggests that if you have a large number of followers (people following your blog, tweets or updates), you are influential. In reality, influence is not determined by mathematics. If 10,000 people subscribe to your blog, you might be influential. However, you can also be influential with a follower base of 500.
You create ‘influence’ by your activities that make you the ‘focus’ of your followers or prospective followers. It is about your ability to evoke interest of others. Transparency and expert communication skills are other parameters that determine your social media influence.
